Released in 1997, Somnambulist Homesick Blues was Bluebottle Kiss' only original release on vinyl and their last recording on the Murmur (Sony) label before parting ways.
Love As Fiction Records has been started by a long time Bluebottle Kiss fan to re-release this EP/mini LP again for the first time in 25 years.
The EP was remastered for vinyl (by Hanszek Audio) and produced by Impress Vinyl and released on 31/07/2022 (produced under licence from Sony). The album artwork has also been restored with updated credits handwritten by Jamie Hutchings from Bluebottle Kiss.
Our aim for this record was a high quality release (180gm vinyl) with the original artwork and a new master based on the original CD mix, updated for this 2022 issue on vinyl. The release is limited edition of only 150 copies.
Bluebottle Kiss has also released their 1999 album Patient for the first time on vinyl this year and reformed for an Australian Tour.
Love As Fiction Records aims to produce copies of the remaining Bluebottle Kiss back catalogue (on the Sony Murmur label) if the future, if this release is successful and there is sufficient interest from the fans!
